Wow, this has been a long time waiting in being uploaded- these were designed as licensable characters for the risd student art sale back in October. From left to right: Kentrosaurus, Stygimoloch, Styracosaurus, Allosaurus, Camarasaurus, and Oviraptor. I tried to choose slightly more interesting dinoaurs than the usual fare seen on kids' merchandise (much as I love Stegos and Tyrannosaurs)... Yeah, I know Allosaurs aren't particularly obscure, but I like 'em. More of this to come in the future.

...But it's currently written on some piece of paper in some box being shipped to me and I apparently fail miserably at remembering obscure Inuit names. She's the second half of my final assignment for character design and apparently likes tormenting small orca who get in her way. Rar. -C

The first half of my character design final which I've been too lazy to upload. For heaven knows what reason, I started sketching orcas with legs in parkas the first week of our assignment and it sort of stuck. I liked the idea of a tiny orca youngling getting tormented by an adult seal from a neighboring tribe, and so Omayok came to be. -C

The beginning half of my first assignment for my comics class with Shanth- a 2 page comic, each page with 3-6 panels, telling some cohesive narrative that "blows his socks off." Retooled a bit after the critique, and I think it reads a lot better now. Don't really have much to say about it beyond that, actually- it took a lot of time, but it was worth it. Yes, I know Anubis feeds the hearts to Ammut. This is during the gods' free time. -C

Our first assignment in Illustration II this semester was to illustrate a single word, and to do it in a way so that it wasn't blatant nor achingly subtle. The word crocodiles kept cycling through my head- not as the word to illustrate, but as the subject matter- and so I chose "awkward" as my word and came up with the idea of a crocodile businessman bring home a wildebeest friend from work only to find his wife preparing exactly that for dinner. Heh. Awkward.
